Halloween week

I have a small collection of Halloween themed plates, so this week I've pulled them out and I'm putting them to use!

I recently bought UberChic Beauty's Halloween-01 plate, and I did some stamping over Enchanted Polish's May 2014, a perfect orange holo.

Inspired by a colour - this time for real!

I was rustling around in my untried polish stash a while back and found Enchanted Polish's May 2014, an orange holo, and thought to myself how great it would be for Halloween nails.

I pulled out my MoYou festive plate 16 and stamped a Halloween design. I'm a fan!

*gently blows dust off blog*

I've been gone awhile but it's nice to blog again. I got a bit bogged down in perfectionism and it stopped being fun, so now I'm going to take it easy and enjoy it more.

For today I had a lot of trouble with stamping - I was going to do roses but the image was too shallowly engraved. So instead I painted them holo red with a Enchanted July 2014 and added some round studs from Born Pretty. Simple and effective. The lighting isn't the best to show off the holo sadly.

eta: daylight photo! Sadly the sun clouded over before I could take a photo, but the colour balance is a lot better.

Enchanted Polish's Presto Magic with gLORIous gold leaf

I've been having a lot of trouble with stamping recently, so I thought I'd rock some gold leaf nails for this manicure. Super blingy! I painted my nails with a base of Enchanted Polish's Presto Magic, which is a lovely dark blue holographic polish. You can't see the linear holo effect terribly well because the gold gets in the way, but it does add some extra sparkle to the look.

Enchanted Polish - The Youth

I love this polish! A pale green/light purple duochrome with stunning holo - so beautiful. I love holos but you only get the full glory of them in the sun or under strong light sources, so it's nice to have something else to enjoy in low light, such as the duochrome effect.

 The green is stronger - particularly when taking photos.

Look at the holo! You can also see a bit of the duochrome in the difference between the index finger and the ring finger, although the purple is a bit stronger in person.
