31 Day Challenge, Day 15 - Delicate Print
Day 13 - I hurried through this so I could go to bed, to be honest. Not much to say, I did some stamping for this one. Stamping is great for delicate designs.
I used Dance Legend's thermo polish 178 for this. I'm pretty warm so no thermo effect is visible, but I've loved their other thermo polishes - definite hits in winter. The polish has a nice dusty pearl effect without topcoat, but with topcoat it looks like a shimmery creme.
Stamping is Emily de Molly plate EMD09.

Emily de Molly EDM08 - 31 Day Challenge - Day 8 - Metallic stamping
I was lucky enough to win a set of Emily de Molly's new stamping plates, and they arrived today! So it was easy to choose what to do for today's challenge - I was so excited to get stuck in to EDM08, with its beautiful ancient Egyptian themed images.
The images stamped very well, with nice crisp transfers. The only image I had a little trouble with was the heiroglyphics, because the lines are so thin, but as you can see with a little care they came up wonderfully as well. I'm impressed because thin lines like this often just come out as a hot mess, but I got a very clean stamp from the image.
I used an unnamed gold polish from Blush-amour, a polish which I was given as a young teenager. It's a bit gloopy but still trucking, and has a nice old gold look to go with the Egyptian theme.
A past manicure that I've done would also fit the challenge well - silver hexagon stud nail armour! Check it out, I really liked that look.

Illamasqua's Seance with stamping from Emily de Molly's EMD03 plate
I was looking at some of the stamping manicures people had done using Emily de Molly's plate EDM03, and I saw that Bettina's Nails had done a pretty cool version where she'd double-stamped over UV polish. It looked so great, I decided to do a variation.
Coincidentally I was already wearing a UV reactive polish, Illamasqua's Seance. It's a lovely purple polish, great flow, self-leveling, which dries to a slightly satin finish. Adding topcoat brings out the slight silver sparkle in it. Unfortunately I don't have a black light, so no photos of it glowing.
I then stamped in white and black over the purple, although I used two different designs from the plate. And done! I really like the effect, so I'll have to keep it in mind for the future.
